A while back i showed some roughs of a cover for
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
THE NIGHT GWEN STACY DIED
MARVEL POCKET BOOK PUBLISHED BY PANINI UK LTD
so here are the roughs again as you can see the Editor picked rough number 5 then asked me to pencil the cover so Spidey is being hit by the Green Goblin and not strangled as this was a special story cover i asked the Editor if i could ink the cover as well , the cover was coloured by my friend and ace artist John Charles.
I think he did a brilliant job on the colouring for this cover.

Really good to see these roughs, all of which are really powerful and dynamic as Spidey covers ought to be. For me it's the key part of the creative process. I think they're always as exciting as the finished artwork and you can see you've had a lot of fun doing them.

thanks peter i really did relive my childhood drawing this cover it's one of those stories you never forget with classic art by Gil Kane and John Romita Sr ,so i knew i had to do a good job on the cover,very pleased to here from you ,i've added your blog on my blog list looking forward to seeing more of your latest project :-)
